What do you love about being a working mom?
Learning and growing with my children every day.
What is the biggest challenge of being a working mom?
Identifying the woman inside of the mother, her needs, and holding them with the same importance as my children's needs.
If you had a magic wand, what one thing would you change about working mom life?
The “right way” “wrong way” mentality.
What tips do you have for other working moms?
”Know thyself first” There is a woman within you, that needs to be nourished, loved, and supported just like you do for your children.
You cannot do all the amazing things for them, if you are not healthy mentally and physically first.
Any relationship tips for working moms?
Being mindful of who you are with, putting yourself in their shoes, to allow for more understanding of what they are sharing or saying.
What's the best piece of advice your own mother gave you?
”Less is more” when it comes to many things!
What stresses you out?
The gap between the way I speak to, understand and see my children, compared to the way the rest of the world speaks to them, understands them and expects from them.
How do you mother yourself?
Day by day, I tune into “her” and listen to her. I listen even when something she wants or is saying is hard to do, or different than the norm, or I don’t know how to follow it.
I constantly check in on what I offer my children, and offer it to myself…
Understanding, “play time”, being validated and seen, and heard, opportunities for growth and learning. etc etc…
How and why do you take CBD?
I take it at night during my period. I don’t sleep as well then, with night sweats and frequent wakings, so that has been a great solution during that time.
