What do you love about being a working mom?
I love how full my plate is. I feel like my heart is so full; I can’t imagine a life different from that of a hard-working mother.
What is the biggest challenge of being a working mom?
My plate is so full! It's a love-hate thing. I don’t get much alone time or relaxation time at that.
Trying to healthfully juggle so much and grow as an individual is the ultimate puzzle in my life.
I'd love any feedback on how to conquer that one :)
If you had a magic wand, what one thing would you change about working mom life?
Having an in-house nanny! Are you kidding me? That is my absolute dream! Fairy Godmother, where are you?! But no really, more of a set schedule and childcare for my youngest.

What tips do you have for other working moms?
Remember yourself first. Force those moments to take a pause and breathe. If this means shutting the door on your screaming children then so be it!
You cannot expand your love outward if you are so drained on the inside.
Any relationship tips for working moms?
Carve out a specific time to spend with your partner. My favorite is during coffee before work and at the end of the day making dinner together. You can make love in many ways, and doing mundane things with one another is my absolute favorite. The big date nights will come when life itself isn't so chaotic, which is not right now, and that's okay with me.
What's the best piece of advice your own mother gave you?
This too shall pass. No matter what negativity or hurt I’m feeling at any given moment, it will get better soon.

What stresses you out?
I get stressed over not simplifying my life enough. Being a single working mom means juggling so much on my own. Because I’m generally relaxed, I don’t come off as overwhelmed, so I don’t recognize when I am until I'm so overwhelmed it feels like my brain either shuts off, or I tumble into a burst of negative emotions.
I am working towards setting up more structure for a work-life balance and learning how to reach out to family when I need help.
How do you mother yourself?
Once or twice a week I take a long hot shower. This is one of my favorite things to do. I'm sure I'd mix that in there if I had a bathtub. Another way I mother myself is through positive self-talk.
I turn inward and love myself the same way I love my children.

I read and color; I tell myself I'm wonderful and capable and that anything is possible if I believe in myself.
These little bits of motherly love can take a soul to new levels. Even when they are from you to you. :)
How and why do you take CBD?
I love to supplement my CBD through tinctures and the MotherBar mints. I have whole hemp tinctures from a favorite brand of mine that also uses regeneratively grown, organic hemp. Since they infuse theirs with MCT oil, I like to add it to my morning espresso. They also have a tincture in olive oil which I'll add to my salads if I'm having a chaotic afternoon.
I love the mints as an afternoon pick-me-up or a nighttime cap. They really do remind me to slow down and savor the moment, and that's what cannabis is all about.
