In life, some things are plastic balls while others are glass. When you need to drop a ball, make sure it’s the right one.

What do you love about being a working mom?
It’s important to me to always be genuine with my children and for me that means showing up as my whole self. Beyond my deep love for family, friends, nature, fitness and travel, I’ve been fortunate enough to find flow in my career.
Building Perelel as a mission-driven business from day one is what gets me out of bed each morning.
Through our 1:1 donation program we’ve already donated nearly $1 million dollars in product to underserved expectant mothers here in the US and we’re only getting started. I hope my children see that we can all be a vehicle for good and find ways, both big and small, to do something good for our world.
What is the biggest challenge of being a working mom?
Whether you’re a working mom or a stay at home mom, being a parent is tough. I’ve experienced both. For me, what’s remained constant is the guilt. As a working mom I feel that I am spread too thin. When I was a stay at home mom the guilt was fueled by not pursuing my professional ambitions.
What I’ve come to peace with is this:
You can have it all, but not all at once. Be ruthless with how you prioritize your time and make time for things that bring you joy.
If you had a magic wand, what one thing would you change about working mom life?
Clone myself? Add more hours to the day?
What tips do you have for other working moms?
I constantly remind myself of a lesson I learned from an old Nora Roberts quote.
To paraphrase:
In life, some things are plastic balls while others are glass. When you need to drop a ball, make sure it’s the right one.
Any relationship tips for working moms?
Schedule date nights.
What's the best piece of advice your own mother gave you?
Life is about the experiences and people, not the things.
What stresses you out?
Not having enough time to manage everything I need to accomplish in the day, both personally and professionally.
How do you mother yourself?
I force myself to meditate and go slowly.
I try my best to be kind to myself.
How and why do you take CBD?
I am not a huge CBD person, but I have truly enjoyed trying MotherBar. It’s very subtle and takes off the edge at the end of a long day.
It’s probably the first and only ingestible CBD product I’ve liked!
